Practice Terms

The Interval

The Interval is a specialist counselling and psychology practice supporting adolescents and emerging adults aged 14–25, alongside their parents and caregivers. These Practice Terms outline how our services operate, our booking and payment arrangements, and the professional responsibilities that guide our practice.

The Interval is a trading name of Let's Latte Collective Pte Ltd, a company registered in Singapore.

1. Our Services

The Interval provides individual counselling, psychological services and parent consultations, delivered in person or virtually by suitably qualified practitioners.

Individual Counselling and Psychological Services

Our services support young people experiencing emotional, relational, developmental and other personal challenges. The approach and goals of counselling or psychological services are discussed collaboratively with the client and reviewed as appropriate.

Parent Consultations

Parent consultations offer guidance to parents and caregivers seeking a better understanding of a young person's emotional wellbeing, behaviour, relationships or developmental challenges. These consultations do not, by themselves, constitute counselling or psychological assessment of the young person.

Our practitioners may recommend other services or referrals where a client's needs fall outside the scope of our practice or a practitioner's professional expertise.

2. Appointments and Fees

Appointments are generally 60 minutes. The applicable fee is displayed during online booking, and full payment is required to confirm an appointment.

Clients may select their preferred practitioner and an available appointment time through our online booking system.

Initial counselling sessions are intended for new clients. Ongoing counselling sessions are intended for existing clients who have already completed an initial session.

Consultations and counselling appointments are subject to practitioner availability.

3. Cancellations, Rescheduling and Refunds

We ask clients to provide as much notice as possible when they cannot attend a scheduled appointment.

  • Cancellation 24 hours or more before your appointment: Full refund.

  • Cancellation less than 24 hours before your appointment or no-show: No refund.

Appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled online up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time, using the link in the booking confirmation email.

For cancellations within 24 hours, the online cancellation option will no longer be available. Please notify The Interval via WhatsApp at +65 8915 8047. No refund will apply.

Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method.

If The Interval or your practitioner needs to cancel an appointment, we will contact you to arrange an alternative appointment or a full refund.

4. Confidentiality and Professional Boundaries

Confidentiality is fundamental to our practice. Information shared during counselling, psychological services and parent consultations is treated with care and discretion, subject to applicable professional and legal limits. Information may be disclosed where necessary to address serious safety or safeguarding concerns, where required or permitted by law, or in other circumstances explained through the informed-consent process. Practitioners may also engage in appropriate professional supervision or clinical consultation, with reasonable steps taken to protect clients' confidentiality. The nature of the professional relationship, confidentiality arrangements and relevant boundaries will be explained at the outset of services.

5. Informed Consent and Clients Under 18

Before counselling or psychological services begin, the practitioner will explain the nature and purpose of the service, confidentiality and its limits, relevant professional boundaries, and what clients can expect from the process. Clients will have an opportunity to ask questions before providing informed consent. For clients under 18, appropriate parent or legal guardian consent will be obtained before counselling begins, in accordance with applicable professional and legal requirements.

We recognise the importance of young people's developing autonomy and their right to an appropriate degree of confidentiality. The involvement of parents or guardians, including arrangements for communication and information sharing, will be discussed at the outset. Consent and confidentiality arrangements may be revisited where clinically or professionally appropriate.

6. Parent, School and Professional Collaboration

Where appropriate, The Interval may work alongside parents, caregivers, schools and other professionals to support a young person's wellbeing. Such collaboration is guided by the client's needs, relevant consent arrangements, confidentiality obligations and safeguarding considerations. Information is not routinely shared with parents, schools or third parties simply because they have arranged or paid for an appointment. Any proposed sharing of confidential information will be discussed with the client where appropriate, subject to applicable legal, professional and safeguarding requirements.

7. Virtual Appointments and Communication

Virtual appointments are conducted through the online platform specified in the booking confirmation. Clients should attend from a private location with a reliable internet connection and take reasonable steps to maintain their own privacy during virtual sessions. Email and WhatsApp may be used for appointment-related and administrative communications. These channels are not intended for urgent clinical support or detailed disclosure of sensitive personal information. Communication outside scheduled appointments is generally limited to administrative matters unless otherwise agreed with the practitioner.

8. Clinical Records and Personal Information

The Interval maintains appropriate clinical and administrative records in accordance with applicable professional, legal and data protection obligations. Client information is accessed only by authorised practitioners and personnel where required for legitimate professional or administrative purposes. Our collection, use, disclosure, storage and protection of personal information are described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Scope and Limitations of Services

The Interval is not an emergency or crisis-response service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, please contact emergency services or seek assistance from the nearest emergency department. Counselling and psychological services are collaborative processes. Individual experiences and outcomes vary, and specific results cannot be guaranteed. Clients may raise questions about their care, discuss changes to their treatment goals or request a referral where appropriate.

A practitioner may recommend that services be modified, paused or concluded where clinically or professionally appropriate. Any such decision will be communicated sensitively, with consideration given to continuity of care and suitable alternatives.
