ABOUT THE INTERVAL

A different kind of space for the years that shape who we become.

Young people make sense of themselves in the context of the world around them.

Adolescence and emerging adulthood are periods of significant change — emotionally, socially, relationally and neurobiologically. Our work is informed by developmental neuroscience alongside psychological and relational understandings of these years, while recognising that development looks different for every young person.

Counselling is more than a set of techniques. We place the therapeutic relationship at the centre of the work, adapting the pace and approach to the individual while considering the relationships, culture, family, school and wider environments that shape their experience.
